Facilities and resources
Our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning. Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources give students what they need to succeed.
Our school facilities
Upon opening in 2027, Googong High School will house new and state of the art facilities capable of delivering a full 7-12 curriculum for up to 750 students.
Our facilities includes
- bright and comfortable classrooms, designed around flexible learning spaces that provide ample opportunities for different styles of learning.
- A modern, fully stocked library with a variety of spaces for research, collaboration and passive recreation.
- Two full science labs and specialist science learning classrooms for hands on science learning.
- A hall with full size court and capable of hosting 2000 people for public events. Attached to the hall is a full stage with state of the art audio-visual media for presentations and performances.
- Full equipped wood and metal workshops, with additional STEM labs for laser cutting and 3D printing
- A visual arts studio equipped with additional green room for multimedia production, a kiln/firing space and flexilble area for hands on art work.
- A performing arts hub and adjoining music centre, equipped with facilities for performance including dance.
- A fitness hub equipped with gym equipment for fitness programs both as part of the curriculum and extra curricular opportunities.
- Agriculture facilities including internal and external learning spaces, space for small to medium livestock, orchard and extensive horticulture facilities.
- A semi-commercial kitchen, additional food technology learning space and cafe for all food technology needs. As the school grows, the space is designed to be quickly retrofitted to provide full commercial grade opportuniies.
- Extensive outdoor active and passive areas, including a variety of gardens, active play areas, COLA and full sized oval.
Masterplans exist to cater for Googong High School's future expansion, with space planned for approximately 2000 students.
Resources and technology
Our school uses modern technology and digital learning tools. Our resources help students learn, create and stay connected. As a NSW public school, we have access to shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state.
